Five New Players Signed

LISLE, IL – The DuPage County Hounds, members of the Midwest Collegiate League, announced today the signing of five addition players to the 2014 season roster.  After today’s five player signings, the team now has 16 players on its team. 
 
Jake Bigos, a freshman from St. Joseph’s College of Indiana, is an outfielder that hails from Crystal Lake, IL.  While playing at Crystal Lake South High School, he was named to the all-conference, all-area and all academic team.  His favorite team is the Chicago White Sox.
 
Christian Bokich, who currently attends Miami University, is from Burr Ridge.  The 6’2” 188 pound right-handed pitcher played high school baseball at Hinsdale Central High School and was ranked #20 by Perfect Game in the State of Illinois.
 
Adam Dressler is a 6 foot 185 pound right-handed pitcher from Clarendon Hills.  Dressler was a high school teammate of Christian Bokich while attending Hinsdale Central High School.  Dressler’s favorite MLB team is the Chicago Cubs.
 
Robert Kametas currently attends Saint Joseph’s College of Indiana, where fellow Hounds teammate Jake Bigos attends.  The Oak Lawn native was named to the all-conference and all-area teams while at Oak Lawn Community High School in addition to being named team pitcher of the team and team MVP.
 
Drew LaComb is a returning player from the 2013 season team.  Currently attending Mesa Community College, the infielder is a native of Las Vegas.  Lacomb was named to the 1st Team All-Southern Nevada team while in high school and a 3x all-state academic baseball player.
 
The total number of players signed by the DuPage County Hounds stands at 16 total, which 11 are from Division I programs, three from Division II programs, and two from Junior College programs.  Of the 16 players on the roster, 14 are from the Chicagoland area while two are from outside Illinois (one from Michigan and one from Nevada).  As the announcements continue for the 2014 season roster for the DuPage County Hounds, the team will keep fans informed of the make-up of the team in terms of what towns they are from, schools they attend, as well as the type of program they come from (Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, or Junior College).
 

The DuPage County Hounds are coming off their second season in the Midwest Collegiate League where the team on the field set a league record in the regular season with a .706 winning percentage, clinched their first pennant, and made the playoffs the second season in a row.  Off the field, the team has drawn 25,395 fans over two-seasons, led the Midwest Collegiate League in attendance for the 2013 season, as well as hired two new full-time employees bringing their full-time staff to four individuals.   For more information on the team, please visit the team’s website as www.DuPageHounds.com or call (815) 704-3839.
