Sunday's game against the Joliet Generals was a close one going into 11 innings, but two unanswered runs from the Generals in the last inning sealed the deal. The Generals managed to gain the lead in the 6th by scoring 2 runs but the Hounds managed tie it up with a single run in the 8th. The Hounds outhit the Generals 16-8, unfortunately the timing didn't line up to push more runs across. Bren Faulk led the team going 4 for 5. Gipson led the team with 2 RBI's and a double and 2 singles. Tuesday's game had a much better outcome with a 8-2 win against the Crestwood Panthers. Crestwood scored first but the Hounds were quick to answer with 4 runs in the third. With three more runs in the 7th inning there was no way for the Panthers to catch up. Dane Toppel led the team going 3 for 4, Collins and Phillips had 2 RBI's each and Collins had a Homerun as well. Bianucci led the team with 6 innings pitched only allowing 4 hits. Wednesday's game was a blowout with the Hounds beating the Generals 14-6. Two big innigns, six runs in the third and 4 runs in the eighth and a few more runs sprinkled in here and there was more than enough to seal the deal. 13 hits on the day was a team effort with Bellina, Collins, Verdun, Giuliano, and Phillips having 2 hits. Faulk and Phillips led the team with 3 RBI's each. Anderson earned the win for the Hounds pitching 3 innings with 2 strikeouts. Thursday's game was highscoring for both sides but yet again the Hounds prevailed 14-10. The Hounds scored first and just kept rolling scoring 10 runs between the fourth and seventh innings. The 10 hits were yet again a team effort with Woods, Gleaves, Faulk, and Toppel having 2 hits each. Faulk led the team with 3 RBI's as well. Verdun earned the win for the Hounds with 5 innings pitched and six strikeouts. Friday's game was much closer and the odds were in the Viking's favor with a 4-3 loss. Bianucci earned 2 of the 5 hits on the day and also earned all of the RBI's for the day.
