By:
Less than 24 hours after the Hounds won their first game in franchise history they were back at The Village of Lisle Benedictine taking on the Defending MSC champions the Will County Cracker Jacks. The Cracker jacks got out to a fast start scoring 1 in the first and two in the 2nd. the Hounds were able to score one run in the 3rd through 6th inning bringing it to a one run game. But two errors in the top of the 9th gave the cracker jacks an extra run the proved to be the game winner. Hounds had a chance in the last half of the 9th down by one and a runner on third. Johnny Amann broke home after a throw back to the mound and was tagged out for the final out of the game. Max Allen got the loss for the hounds and Kyle Pomeroy got the win coming in for relief as he was able to shut down the hounds after starter Adam Spracklin left the game. Carter Smith got the save as the Hounds fall 6 to 5 and go to an even 1-1 on the season. Hounds get back at it tomorrow at home against the Rockford Forresters at 5 pm.
